It seems to me that I neglected to show my pictures from my Texas trip with you guys, only with the people I have as friends on facebook. Well, here they are for the rest of you, if you want to see them.

A couple of buddies of mine produced this gem of a doc and it will be making the festival circuit soon. If you live in the Austin TX area, Alamo Drafthouse will be showing it all next week starting on Monday the 26th.

Trailer for the documentary "The Dungeon Masters"
Directed by Keven McAlester
Original score by Blonde Redhead
Cinematography by Lee Daniel

 ^Not mine (I don't remeber where I got it)

I'm not too old here but I've noticed quite a few artists on this site, ranging in age and experience.  I am curious if any would like to trade some mail art around for fun.  Also, "non artist" are invited to participate...I'm not prejudice against stick figures (but they BETTER be funny)...

Edit:

Whoever is interested just comment below.  Again, you don't have to be able to draw.  You can use any art form that can be mailed...collage, poetry, comics...anything is game.  I was thinking of some sort of random match up system...anyone got any ideas?

Comet McNaught

This is Comet McNaught.  For our friends downunder, a rare display of celestial beauty.  It was too good a pic not to post.  Photography by Akira Fujii accompanied by the following:

Comets often enliven the night sky, although few grow as large and bright as Comet McNaught, here photographed with a camera on a tripod by Akira Fujii, from Australia in 2007. Most comets are much dimmer, but can still make for entrancing viewing through binoculars or a small telescope. The long fuzzy "tail" of a comet is gas and dust freed from the comet and pushed away from it by the Sun's wind and energy.

I've been watching Glee on Hulu- and I can't stop. See, I was in the Chugiak High School Swing Choir- and I love a good show tune. The episodes are actually laugh out loud, darkly funny in some parts - and the singing, though very studio polished is not shabby at all.

Everyone is probably familiar with this classic, but it's a fun one:

From Oxford University's online philosophy course called "Philosophy Gym"

If there was a machine that destroyed all your atoms in Alpha Centurai, and reassembled an identical set here on Earth, would it be transporting you to Earth, or replacing you with a duplicate?

...I won't ruin it by givin yall my distilled argument for this one

I mentioned in an older blog post how my cats sleep in the weirdest positions. Here's another example

They used to be lab cats and have never seen a male cat. Might explain their behavior. Like Jeff Goldblum said in Jurassic Park: "Nature always finds a way"... or tries to anyways.

Just had to share this. I think it might be my funniest t-shirt design ever (though I could be wrong and they may all equally be crap):

Most advertising networks have clauses in their agreements that prevent disclosing how much income a site receives- I'm not doing dollar figures. I am opening the doors a little to share how VideoSift pays the bills.... more inside ...
