As some of you may or may not have known, my grandpa had been very sick for a very long time. My participation here began to wane as a result, and this morning he passed away. I'm feeling a strange mixture of disbelief, relief, sadness, and closure. I promise I'll be back -- see you guys soon.

Sorry to hear that, nibi. All of my grandparents died years ago and it was a strange feeling every time. Endings are mixed blessings; you're glad they're no longer sick and/or in pain, but the loss of a loved one is never easy to cope with.

Try not to get too depressed and I hope we'll see you soon.

I'm so sorry to hear that nibiyabi, my Grandfather passed away last March. He had been sick for a while beforehand as well, it was still a shock to us all and very hard to take.

It's going to hurt for a while and the strangest things will trigger crying, but it subsides in time. Take time to talk it out with your family if you haven't already and we'll be here when you come back.
