Of course, for me at least, is if he did it, I would be so worried I would cease being a useful member of society. My 15 year old oscillates between wise and infantile, and I want the infantile inflicted on me, and not on himself.
even though I actually did all that (moved out at 15) I still LOLed because honestly, my 17 yr old is not anywhere mature enough to move out and be responsible. ROTFL - I had had several jobs by 15, he's never done much more than clean the kitchen, walk the dogs and meager babysitting. Even though he's supposedly moving out next year, I can't imagine him being anywhere near able to do it effectively. I suspect I"ll be getting a LOT of phone calls next year. Not to mention laundrey. Heaven forfend that boy wear clean clothes of his own initiative.
One day I can have a clean house and food in the refrigerator. I'll get to travel on weekends to the beach instead of a paintball scenario or an Honor Band trip - they all cost about the same. I won't have to be a Band Parent.
heheh, oh man... I have a adolescent daughter now, the fun's already begun. Are there some chemicals or something I can give my boy to keep him from this fate?
nah, estrogen won't solve anything, in a lot of ways, I was waaaaay more of a pain in the ass for my parents when the hormones starting kicking in than my brother.
My 11th & 12th grade English Teacher had that sign up in our class (not that exact one, but one with the same message on it). I thought it was inappropriate for a classroom, to be honest, because it's supposed to be a place for homogenized learning, not a place for unabashed teacher's to spread their politics.
I was about to write a post objecting to the premise that because one person has a financial hold over another that makes them always right, but it turn out I'm 8 months late. Damn you Pink.

I can dream, can't I?
"I'm twenty-two years old and I've never made a mistake."
Naturally we constantly were trying to catch her making an error.
